What Testers Should Know

Payments use beta wallet funds, not real card charges. Email and text alert preferences are stored, but external delivery is a later backend integration. Provider approval is controlled from the admin account. Members stay anonymous in lead search unless they voluntarily reveal contact details in a reply. Scheduling shares member name, ZIP code, and phone number only for the booked appointment.

Start testing UpRooted Rates

Help us test a private way to shop everyday expenses.

UpRooted Rates is in private beta. Members and businesses post sample expenses while staying anonymous. Providers review those anonymous opportunities and only reach out when they believe they may be able to offer a better rate or better service.

Use sample data only

Please do not enter real account numbers, Social Security numbers, tax IDs, passwords, credit reports, bank details, private documents, card numbers, policy numbers, or sensitive financial information while testing.

Current beta limits: payments are simulated, some notifications are prototype-only, and some data may still be stored locally in the browser while production systems are being connected.

Six things to try before you leave feedback.

1. Start with one role

Create only one test account first. You can come back and try another role afterward.

2. Use fake but realistic details

Sample rates, sample ZIP codes, and sample company details are perfect for this round.

3. Test the main action

Members should post an expense. Providers should search leads. Admin should approve and review activity.

4. Try one connection

Send a message, book a call, save a lead, hide a lead, or review the message center.

5. Tell us what slowed you down

Feedback is most useful when it names the page, button, wording, or step that felt unclear.

6. Leave feedback before you finish

Testing is not complete until the feedback form is submitted.

About UpRooted Rates

Helping members turn expenses into opportunities.

UpRooted Rates was built to help individuals and businesses save time and money when shopping for standardized services like insurance, internet, mortgage rates, home services, business services, and more. Instead of calling provider after provider or relying on comparison tools that may leave out smaller local companies, members can list sample expense details while keeping sensitive identity information private.

Finally, a site you can trust with your information. Comparison tools often take and sell your contact information; just read their fine print. We will not sell or distribute your contact information in any way, shape, or form. That is your right. We do need an email address for signing up for an account. Once you are logged in, you have the right to enter as much or as little of your private information as you choose. If you choose to post your expenses, your private contact information still stays hidden.

Using a price comparison website may allow for faster quoting, but it does not assure you of the best rates. You will also more than likely experience an increase in junk mail that has nothing to do with the services you are shopping for, and an increase in spam phone calls if you share your phone number with them too. This happens because the comparison pricing website is making revenue by selling your contact information. UpRooted Rates is not a price comparison website. We are the first of our kind: a platform designed to connect end users of services more directly to the providers of those services.

Providers can review anonymous expenses without knowing who the member is. If a provider sees that a member's current expense looks higher than what they may be able to offer, they can pay UpRooted Rates to start a message thread. The member still chooses whether to reply. That is the point: less spam, more intentional outreach, and more control for the person or business being contacted.

For members

Track recurring expenses, stay anonymous while providers review the opportunity, and decide whether any message is worth a reply.

For providers

Search for relevant anonymous opportunities and pay a messaging fee only when the expense looks like a real fit.

Our promise

Build trust first through clearer expenses, careful provider access, and member control over what identity details get shared.

Career opportunities

Build the marketplace that lets better offers find people.

UpRooted Rates is still early, so there are no formal open roles yet. As the marketplace grows, future opportunities may include provider partnerships, customer success, compliance, operations, sales, product design, and engineering.

For now, the best way to help is by testing the prototype, introducing trusted providers, giving market feedback, or sharing industry-specific questions that should be added to the expense forms.

Interested in helping?

Use the contact page to share your background, the type of work you care about, and how you would like to contribute. Please do not send confidential employer information, private customer lists, or sensitive financial details through the prototype contact form.
